How this ranking is calculated

A passport's score is the number of destinations reachable visa-free, with a visa on arrival, or with an electronic travel authorization (eTA) — the three cases where you can book a trip and go. Destinations requiring an e-visa are counted separately, because they still need an application before departure, and traditional embassy visas are excluded. Passports with the same score share a rank.
